The semi-finals of Contrex Challenge Cup 2016 completed today, the home favourites, Lee Ka Yi, Tang Ming Hong and Wong Chi Him dispatched their opponents to guarantee their places in the finals in front of the packed crowd at Kowloon Cricket Club.

That will be all Hong Kong players in the men’s finals. The defending champion and first seed Wong Chi Him beats Lau Tsz Kwan in straight games 11-3, 12-10 and 12-10 to meet Tang Ming Hong who survived from a fierce five games against Yeung Ho Wai at 11-7, 11-5, 7-11, 8-11 and 11-9 in 90 minutes. 

In the women’s event, Lee Ka Yi overcame Lui Hiu Lam in another five set encounter at 7-11, 11-4, 9-11, 11-8 and 11-6 to secure in the final meeting the Malaysian Andrea Lee who also defeated her compatriots, Foo Yuk Han at four games.

The men’s and women’s finals will be commenced at 3pm in Kowloon Cricket Club tomorrow. We cordially invite you to come and support the tournament at Kowloon Cricket Club.
