Team Hong Kong took the title home for the seventh consecutive time after conquering Japan in the final day of 12th East Asian Squash Championships 2017.
Consisting of Chan Ho Ling Joey, Vanessa Chu, Ho Tze Lok, Yip Tsz Fung, Henry Leung, Lau Tsz Kwan and Chris Lo, the team completed a clean sweep of winning Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea and Macau at 5-0 whereas Japan and Korea claimed the silver and bronze medal respectively.
The prize presentation ceremony and farewell lunch were held right after the matches finished, Mr. David Mui, MH JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Squash and Patron of the East Asian Squash Federation was invited to give a congratulatory speech and present the trophies together with Mr. Kim Won-kwan, Honorary President of the East Asian Squash Federation, Mr. Kazuya Kasahara, Vice President of the East Asian Squash Federation, Mr. David Brettell, President of Kowloon Cricket Club and Mr. Leo Wong, Senior Lesiure Manager (Sports Funding) of Leisure & Culture Services Department.
