Hong Kong took a step closer to secure their seventh consecutive title after beating Macau with another comfortable 5-0 victory in the morning session of the round robin matches in East Asian Squash Championships 2017 today.
Meanwhile, Korea defeated Chinese Taipei in another round robin matches at 4-1 this morning. Korea was defeated by their long-term rival Japan in 4-1 whereas Chinese Taipei just beat Macau in 3-2 in the afternoon session.
The team Hong Kong consisting of Chan Ho Ling, Vanessa Chu, Ho Tze Lok, Yip Tsz Fung, Henry Leung, Lau Tsz kwan and Chirs Lo maintained their leading position together with Japan in the championships. Hong Kong will play against the second seed Japan for defending the title at 9:30am tomorrow at KCC.
