Organized by Hong Kong Squash and with the generous support of “Bright Smart Securities “as the title sponsor, subvented by the Home Affairs Bureau (Arts & Sport Development Fund) and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and sanctioned by Asian Squash Federation (ASF) for the Biennial Championships, the “Bright Smart Securities 18th Asian Junior Team Championships 2017” will be staged between 1 and 5 February, 2017 at Hong Kong Squash Centre.
The event has attracted 12 countries and regions to participate in this highest level of junior team event in Asia. The Asian Junior Team Championships provides a comprehensive platform for hundred promising junior athletes to compete for the team titles. We anticipate a successful yet memorable tournament for all the best junior players coming from around Asia.
Hong Kong Squash is honored to host the Asian Junior Squash Team Championships once again since 1995 and 2007. Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong China, India, Japan, Korea, Macau China, Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka confirm their entries in the girl’s team event, they will join Iran, Joran and Pakistan to participate in the boy’s team event as well.
For the past years, Hong Kong Junior Girl’s Team has crowned the champion for four times in 1995, 2005, 2007 and 2011 while the boy’s team also claimed the 2nd runner up for several years. This year, Lui Hiu Lam, Cheng Nga Ching, Chan Sin Yuk and Tang Yan Yi will represent Hong Kong in the girl’s team whereas the Hong Kong Junior Boy’s Team will consist of Lai Cheuk Nam, Chan Wui Ki, Chan Chi Ho and Ho Kai Hei .
