Two huge upsets were produced in the men’s semis, Rui Soares of Portugual bowed out to the seed no.3 Carlos Cornes Ribadas who will meet the unseeded player Yeung Ho Wai. The qualifier carried on his unbeatable run to survive from a dramatic five-setter against the third seed Lau Tsz Kwan to reach the final.

The top two seeds will feature in the women’s finals whereas Ho Tze Lok and Vanessa Chu both brought the home win in a straight game with ease to meet in the final.

The women’s and men’s finals will start at 3pm tomorrow at Kowloon Cricket Club.
