The renowned British Junior Open 2017 is now being held in Sheffield, England for its 22 years. Hong Kong junior players Chan Sin Yuk and Lui Hiu Lam both successfully sailed through to the semi-finals for the first time.
In Girls under 15, Chan Sin Yuk defeated the top seed Marina Stefanoni of United States in four games at 11-4, 7-11, 11-6 and 11-4 to secure her position in semi-finals meeting
Nour Abouelmakrim of Egypt on Thursday 3pm (local time).
Meanwhile, Lui Hiu Lam the current Hong Kong Junior Girls Champion, overcame Elena Wagenmans of Netherlands at a straight 11-4, 11-8, 11-7 in the quarter finals of Girls under 17. She will be facing the second seed Hana Motaz Ayoub of Egypt in the semi-finals on Thursday 5pm (local time).
