The Pool Matches of Bright Smart Securities 18th Asian Junior Squash Team Championships 2017 are wrapped up today at Hong Kong Squash Centre. All the semi-finalists in both events are determined.

Hong Kong girls team remained unbeaten to confirm their first place in pool B by dispatching Japan at 2-1. Cheng Nga Ching and Chan Sin Yuk both scored the 3-0 wins to put Hong Kong through to top 4. They will meet Singapore for final places at 3pm tomorrow.

Another girls’ team semi-finals encounter will go between the top seed Malaysia and Japan at 5:30pm tomorrow.

On the boy’s side in Pool A, first seed India swept five out of five matches with only losing one match point to make sure they finished top to sail through to semi-finals.

Hong Kong took the second place as they surpassed Jordan with the better match points though they were defeated by Malaysia. Meeting the defending champion in the last pool match today, Lai Cheuk Nam and Chan Wui Ki were halted by Ong Sai Hung and Darren Rahul Pragasam in the first two matches. The third string Chan Chi Ho brought off an incredible performance before losing to Mohd Farez Izwan in the tough five sets. Hong Kong will face India in the semi-finals at 10am tomorrow.

Malaysia then completed four wins to secure the top spot in Pool B to set up another semi-final against Pakistan at 12:30pm tomorrow.

Boy’s and Girl’s team semi-finals and placing knock out will start at 10am tomorrow at Hong Kong Squash Centre for free admission. Welcome you all come to support our players!!
