After three days of the pool matches, the quarter finals of WSF Women’s World Team Squash Championship 2016 showcased on the glass court in Paris, France.

Hong Kong, the fourth seed, upset the No.3 seed and 2014 first runner-up, Malaysia with a massive 2-1 victory to reserve the place in the top four for the second consecutive time in the biennial Women’s World Team Championship.

Joey Chan produced a fantastic see-saw games win against Delia Arnold at 8-11, 11-5, 9-11, 11-3 and 11-6 to secure the lead for Hong Kong in the opening match however, Annie was halted by Nicol David in a straight game.

In the deciding match, the World No. 44 Tong Tsz Wing surpassed the World No.51 Sivasangari Subramaniam who once levelled in the second game by winning in the intensive four games at 11-9, 15-17, 13-11 and 11-6 to reward Hong Kong a spot in the semi-finals once again. They will be meeting the second seed and defending champion England at 5pm local time on Friday for the first-ever final attempt.
