The most renowned and biggest junior international tournament in town, HEAD Hong Kong Junior Squash Open 2018 wrapped up its wonderful journey after a fantastic week of matches. All the players from 10 aged divisions demonstrated their best squash in front of the packed and ecstatic crowds seeing Chung Yat Long and Cheng Nga Ching crowned the Boy’s and Girl’s Under 19 event at Hong Kong Squash Centre.
There is all local affair in the GU19 final whist Cheng Nga Ching claimed her first GU19 champion title by winning over Li Sum Yin at a straight 11-8,11-8,12-10 whereas Li Sum Yin won the first runner-up.
In the final of BU19, the second seed Chung Yat Long staged a huge upset by coming back from two games down to knock the first seed Uzair Muhammad of Pakistan at 5-11, 3-11, 11-4, 11-1 and 11-9 to take home his first ever U19 title.
The first seed of GU17 event, Chan Sin Yuk came on top to after coming back from a game down to clinch the victory against the second seed Jessica Keng at in a see-saw five games at 11-13,11-6, 6-11,11-7 and 11-6 in the final.
Meanwhile, Ho Ka Hei, Nathan Rosenzweig, Fung Ching Hei, Leung Ka Huen and Ena Kwong claimed the runner-ups of BU19, BU13, GU17, GU13 and GU11.
