The 5-day 21st Asian Junior Squash Team Championships (AJTC) will be held in Chennai, India from tomorrow to Sunday. A total of 10 participating countries/ regions, including the host India, Hong Kong China, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Chinese Taipei will be firstly divided into two pools to compete on 8 to 10 February, followed by playing the knock-out stage to decide their team final placings on 11 to 12 February.
Team Hong Kong, China captured the Junior Men’s bronze and Women’s silver medals in the last championships in 2019. This year, Lai Long Ching, Law Arthur Pak Ki, Lo Chun Yu Kelvin, Tam Tsz Shing, Lam Po Ying, Leung Ka Huen, Tse Yee Lam Toby and Wai Sze Wing have been selected to team up and compete for their best result in the championships.
Seeded 4th, our junior men’s team will compete with team Pakistan, Korea, Sri Lanka and Kuwait in Pool A, while our junior women’s team seeded as second, will match up with the host team India, team Singapore and team Sir Lanka in Pool B. Our junior men’s team will play against the 8th seed, team Sri Lanka in their first match, and the Women's team will take on the 6th seed team Singapore tomorrow.
