The PSA World Tour Platinum event, U.S. Open 2022 kicked off yesterday in Philadelphia, USA. Hong Kong Squash players Henry Leung and Chan Sin Yuk successfully advanced to the second round respectively.

The unseeded Henry Leung defeated the 17/32 seed Nathan Lake from England by 3-1(11-13, 11-3, 11-4, 11-6) in the first match. He will meet the Indian player, who is also seeded 17/32, Ramit Tandon in Round 2 today.

The Women’s 17/32 seed Chan Sin Yuk eliminated the Wildcard player, Marina Stefanoni in straight games (11-4, 11-5, 11-7) to reach the next round. She will face the No.6 seed, English Sarah-Jane Perry today. Besides, another two Hong Kong ladies, 17/32 seed Ho Tze Lok and Lee Ka Yi were both stopped by their opponents by 1-3 in the Women’s Round 1.
