The 4-day Asian Squash Doubles Championship will be held in Johor, Malaysia from tomorrow (4 July). Teams from seven countries/regions will compete in the first stage pool matches from July 4 to the morning of July 6, with the top two teams advancing. The second stage matches will occur from the afternoon of July 6 to July 7.
A total of 14 Hong Kong, China squash athletes, will pair up and participate in three events. Leung Chi Hin Henry and Ling To Yu Andes, Lau Tsz Kwan Alex and Chung Yat Long Leo, Ho Tze Lok Tomato and Fung Ching Hei Heylie, Tse Yee Lam Toby and Wong Po Yui Kirstie will be competing in the Men's and Women's Doubles events as the 3rd and 4th seeds.
The team will use the same pairing as the Exciting Hangzhou" Asian Squash Mixed Doubles Tournament 2023 in the Mixed Double event of this championship. Lee Ka Yi and Wong Chi Him, who teamed up and claimed the Bronze Medal in the Hangzhou Asian Games will be the top seed of this event, with Tong Tsz Wing and Tang Ming Hong seeded second and Cheng Nga Ching Sara and Lai Cheuk Nam Matthew seeded 7th.
