The semi-finals of the Asian Squash Team Championships 2022 were completed today. The Hong Kong women's team successfully entered tomorrow's final, while the men's team ended their journey.

The semi-finals were held today. The No.2 seed women's team gained momentum and defeated host No.5 seed Team Korea by 2-0. Lee Ka Yi defeated Mingyeong Heo in straight games (11-6, 11-9, 11-3) in the first match, while in the second match, Ho Tze Lok Tomato came from behind and eventually beat Hwayeong Eum 3-1 (8-11, 11-5, 11-8, 11-3). The team will compete with the 2021 champion, top seed Team Malaysia in tomorrow’s final.

Meanwhile, the Men’s semi-final was between Hong Kong and Kuwait, Hong Kong Men’s Team lost 1-2 to the No.8 seed Team Kuwait. Wong Chi Him beat Ali Alramezi by 3-0 (16-14, 11-5, 11-3) in the first match, however, Leung Chi Hin Henry and Lau Tsz Kwan Alex were both eliminated by their opponents, Ammar Altamimi and Abdullah Almezayen respectively at 1-3. The team claimed the bronze medal together with Team Malaysia.
