Our Men’s and Women’s teams both won their 5th to 8th Place matches respectively in the 2024 WSF World Team Championship today. The teams will participate in their final match tomorrow, aiming for the best ranking.

The No.6 seed Women’s team faced the 7/9 seed Team France today. Chan Sin Yuk Simmi defeated her opponent Marie Stephan 3-1 in the first match, while the French player Melissa Alves tied the match after winning Ho Tze Lok Tomato 3-0. In the final match, Tong Tsz Wing suppressed Lauren Baltayan by 3-0, leading the team the victory of 2-1. They will compete against the fourth seed England team for fifth place tomorrow.

On the Men’s side, the No.8 seed Team Hong Kong, China was faced the No.6 seed Team Colombia. Leung Chi Hin Henry took the first win after against Matias Knudsen in a five-game match. Since two players of the Team Columbia could not compete due to injuries, which allowing Team Hong Kong, China to win 2-0 overall. Tomorrow, they will face the 9/12 seeded Team India in the 5th/6th Place match.
