The Men’s & Women’s Championships of the Bright Smart Securities Hong Kong Squash Championships 2021 was wrapped up successfully at Hong Kong Squash Centre this afternoon. After 7 days of matches, Yip Tsz Fung and Lee Ka Yi claimed their champion.
In the 3/4 playoff, Chan Sin Yuk and Lau Tsz Kwan defected Cheng Nga Ching and Max Lee respectively at a straight win and obtained 2nd runner up.
Tong Tsz Wing match up against Lee Ka Yi in the Women’s final. Lee Ka Yi did her great job during this championship; she dispatched Chan Sin Yuk who crowded in two consecutive PSA Challenger Tour in the semi-final yesterday and won Tong Tsz Wing at 3-0 in the final today. It was her first time to captured the title. In the Men’s final, the top seed Yip Tsz Fung led 2 games and Henry Leung took the third game. Yip Tsz Fung immediately adjusted himself in the 4th and eventually won at 3-1(11-3, 11-9, 3-11, 11-6). It is his 2nd Hong Kong Squash Championship titles after 2016.
Prize Presentation Ceremony was held after the Men's Final. Mr. Duncan Chiu, the Chairman of Hong Kong Squash gave a congratulatory speech and presented the awards along with Mr. Edmond Hui, Chief Executive Officer of Bright Smart Securities International (H.K.) Limited to the Women’s and Men’s winners.
