Hong Kong Squash Championships 2016 has finally come to a successful end. Yip Tsz Fung and Annie Au became the new champion with the supports of the packed crowds at Hong Kong Squash Centre.

Winning over Lee Ho Yin Max from the intensive 5 games, Yip Tsz Fung captured his first ever Hong Kong Champion title. Yip led the first two sets at 11-9 and 11-9 however, Max fought back harder to level up at 2- all. Yip stayed determined in the fifth to take down the victory at 11-9, 11-9, 13-15, 4-11, 11-4. 

The women’s final was between Annie Au and Joey Chan. Though Joey came back one set at 8-11 from two games down, Annie still managed to hold on and win at 11-6,11-6, 8-11 and 11-8 to claim her fifth champion title. All the players made their most efforts to demonstrate a wonderful squash. 

Liu Tsz Ling and Wong Chi Him claimed the second runner-up respectively. Wong Chi Him came back tobeat Tang Ming Hong in a tough see-saw game whereas Liu Tsz Ling won over Ho Tze Lok in four games.

Prize Presentation Ceremony was followed after the men’s final. Mr. David Mui, MH JP the chairman of Hong Kong Squash gave a congratulatory speech and presented the awards along with Mr. Yeung Tak Keung, Commissioner for Sports of Home Affairs Bureau, Ms. Ada Lau, Assistant Leisure Manager I (Sports Funding) of Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Mr, David Collins, Honorary Treasurer of Hong Kong Squash and Mr. KK Chan Members of General Committee of Hong Kong Squash to all the winners.
