The biggest local junior event, Prince Hong Kong Junior Squash Championships 2016 showcased the most astonishing games from the best junior players in town. Over hundreds of audiences and participants witnessed Lai Cheuk Nam and Lui Hiu Lam triumphed in the Boys Under 19 and Girls Under 19 respectively in Hong Kong Squash Centre last Sunday.
In the Boys Under 19 event, the top seed Lai Cheuk Nam took on the third seed Chan Wui Ki in the final. The match went as intensive as expected while Lai was determined to recover from a game down to clinch his maiden victory in BU19 at 9-11,12-10,11-8 and 11-7.
The Girls Under 19 final went to the brutal five setters between the top two seed, Lui Hiu Lam and Cheng Nga Ching. Lui dominated the first two games at 11-2 and 12-10 however, Cheng pulled off a strong come back to set up the decider. In the fifth, both girls gave out their best performance however, Lui Hiu Lam finished better to win her first GU19 title at 11-2,12-10,9-11,8-11 and 11-7.
