Chan Sin Yuk won her first PSA 10K event title in the J.P Morgan Tournament of Champion Challenger 2022 in New York, USA yesterday.

Chan Sin Yuk was unfortunately injured and forced to retire in the final of another event in mid-March and this is her first comeback tournament after a month. Listed as the 4th seed in the Women’s draw, Chan Sin Yuk overcame all the opponents to crown. She was took the opening two games, however tied by the opponent at 2-2 afterwards. She fight back and eventually took the crucial fifth game to advanced to next round at 3-2 (11-5, 11-3, 6-11, 7-11, 12-10); and beat her opponent in three in Round 2 to entered to the Semis.

Chan Sin Yuk was matched up with the top seed, Egyptian Sana Ibrahim in the Semi-finals. Although losing the first game at 7-11, Chan Sin Yuk immediately adjusted herself and stated 3-1 (7-11, 11-3, 11-5, 11-7) to reach the final.

The Women’s final was completed yesterday. The 4th seed Chan Sin Yuk claimed her title and earned the wildcard for the main draw by eliminating the 6th seed, Kenzy Ayman, who is also from Egypt, in straight games (14-12, 12-10, 11-5). It will be her first appearance at the PSA World Tour Gold Event.
