Team Hong Kong confirmed to have eight men’s and women’s players to participate in the coming 18th Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 23 August to 1 September.
For the individual event, each country or region could have maximum of two players to participate in each men’s and women’s categories. The 17th Asian Games Men’s Event bronze medalist Lee Ho Yin Max and Women’s Event bronze medalist Au Wing Chi Annie together with Chan Ho Ling Joey and Au Chun Wing Leo are selected by their higher world ranking to compete in the individual event.
Meanwhile in the team event, the teammates including Max Lee, Leo Au, Yip Tsz Fung, Annie Au and Joey Chan who captured the bronze medals in the 17th Asian Games men’s and women’s team event will once again represent Hong Kong in this quadrennial major games in the region while having Leung Chi Hin Henry, Ho Tze Lok and Lee Ka Yi qualified through the selection play-off to make their debut in representing Hong Kong in the international multi-sports event. The teams are hoping for a breakthrough performance in this year’s Asian Games.
