The biennial Asian Squash Team Championships has been postponed from last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the 20th edition finally comes to take place next week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The teams will compete initially in two pools from 30 November to 2 December with the top two in each progressing to the knockout stage from 3 December, through to the final on Saturday 4 December. Team Hong Kong will have a new men’s and women’s team lining up for the Championships.

The teammates including Yip Tsz Fung, Alex Lau and Max Lee, Ho Tze Lok and Tong Tsz Wing who captured the gold medals in the last Championships will once again represent Hong Kong to team up with Liu Tsz Ling, and two new maiden members Henry Leung and Lee Ka Yi at the Championships. The teams have been training overseas and actively participated in various tournaments in the recent months which helped re-adapt to the pace of competition and get prepared for the challenges next week.

The Men’s team will be the third seed and grouped in the pool B with the hosts Malaysia, Iran, Korea, Singapore and Sri Lanka. And the Women’s team will be seeded at the top and meet Japan, Korea and Sir Lanka in the pool matches. We look forward to seeing Team Hong Kong making a breakthrough performance.

Let’s support Team Hong Kong from our home side!
